Why Tuller?

Diversity
Historically, Tuller School has opened its doors to students of many different cultures, religions, backgrounds, and ethnicities.  Our current student population continues to represent the broad spectrum of ethnicities, income levels, learning abilities, and cultures that are America.  We believe that diversity provides our students with unique social, cultural, and academic experiences.  In addition to our student population, Tuller School employs teachers and staff that bring diverse opinions, philosophies, and experiences to the students. We enjoy learning from each other in this rich and diverse community.
Excellence
We provide students with access to extraordinary teachers and dependable learning resources that allow for self-exploration and success. Due to the diverse certifications, degrees, and professional experiences that our teachers maintain, they are able to reach students in very innovative and productive ways. Our teachers are dedicated to providing rare and enriching life experiences that strengthen academic achievement. Teachers build on each student’s innate talents and strengths to allow for continued opportunities for excellence both academically and socially. Our inter-disciplinary approach to learning coupled with this strength-building philosophy leads each child to their fullest potential.  At Tuller School, parents have access to teachers and key staff through e-mail, telephone, student planners, casual after-school meetings, or by private conference. Parents are consistently informed about their child’s progress through progress reports, report cards, and interactions with teachers.
Community
Our campus occupies a former ranch located on seven acres of natural desert nestled in a quiet neighborhood behind Park Place Mall.  Beautifully maintained grounds, Old Spanish-style architecture, and the natural desert campus allows students to learn in a safe, inviting, and inspirational environment. We make every effort to establish and maintain meaningful and lasting relationships with our students and parents. Tuller students build lasting relationships with their classmates and teachers in this “village” setting that includes a dedicated parent organization which is an integral part of our community. At Tuller School, we are committed to giving each child an opportunity to develop their character. Volunteer efforts geared toward important causes in our community as well as opportunities to give back to the community in meaningful ways (canned food drives, blanket drives, diaper drives, civic-minded field trips, etc) allow students to learn about their civic duty and responsibility to their communities.

"Our son has just completed his first year at Tuller School in second grade.  He has been so happy with the experience and so have we!  The teachers and staff are truly committed to each child's success.  The school day is structured and the atmosphere is warm and caring.  Although this is a small school, there is nothing small about its offerings.  Our son has taken part in so many activities this year.  Besides his core curriculum he has enjoyed music, art, physical education, a wonderful library, parties, fairs, field trips, and more!  The German language classes have really been impressive.  It has been such a thrill to witness our child speaking and writing another language.  The Tuller educational method is unique and individualized.  What we have enjoyed the most as parents has been knowing that our child is being educated in a safe, beautiful environment by people who really care about him."
