**Ms. Trimble's Garden --
The Tuller school garden, maintained and harvested by students under the supervision of our wonderful language arts teacher, encourages healthy eating habits, a strong work ethic, and an appreciation for our planet. In order to continue to promote wellness and to allow food grown in the garden to become a larger part of our students' diet, we need specilaized fertilizers, seeds, tools, and other organic materials to help our garden grow. For a specific list of items you can donate, e-mail Ms. Trimble at ctrimble@tullerschool.com.

LIBRARY AND READING CENTER -
This 2011-2012 school year we have a few exciting changes taking place. First, this school year’s big focus is centered on literacy and reading. Second, we have a new building on campus for student use! In order to create a more inviting and useable reading environment we have remodeled the deanery and created the Tuller Library and Reading Center.
The Library/Reading Center renovation has been quite a project! The deanery building, located behind the convent garden, had to be remodeled extensively. As with most renovation projects, unexpected things came up. The renovation included moving a few walls, removing some of the existing features, and improving the electric aspects of the building. Next was the moving of all the books in the library. Every book in the library went through an inspection. We looked to make sure all the books were free of markings and that they had little or no damage. Unfortunately, during this process, we had to recycle about half of the library’s books. These books were either extremely outdated, or just plain falling apart. We also donated a large portion of books that were in good condition, but not appropriate for our student body.
If you are looking for a way to support Tuller School, a donation for new books or to offset our expenses of the renovation, would be greatly appreciated. We hope everyone will enjoy our new Library and Reading Center.
NOTE - The library is maintained and operated by teacher volunteers. In order to encourage our curious and enthusiastic young scholars to read and learn more about the world around them, the library always needs new fiction and non-fiction books, maps, educational board and video games, current reference books, and other printed materials.
